Eurasia (2011-2015)
This is a series of panoramic images from Central Asia and Asiatic parts of Russia, i.e. Tatarstan, Mari El, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug etc. They were all colonized by the Russian Empire and then became part of Soviet Union. I photographed those areas in the 2010's, when you could observe the legacy of the Soviet Union, influence of Russia, rise of capitalism, nationalism and new authoritarian rules here and there while traveling around this scarcely populated but vast and mafnificent part of this world.
